Motorists are advised to slow down as road temperatures remain below zero on a number of routes this morning.

Temperatures have fallen to -3.3°C on the N3 in Kells and -3°C on the M7 at Mountrath. 

Frost and ice are lingering on secondary roads and in sheltered areas.

The AA are advising motorists to slow down and remember gentle manoeuvres are the key to safe driving.
