Drivers are being warned to drive with extra care tonight, as there is a risk of black ice and freezing fog.
Met Éireann is warning that temperatures will drop to between +3 and -3 degrees Celsius, with dense patches of fog also set to form in some places.
The low temperatures will lead to a widespread sharp or severe ground frost, and icy stretches on untreated surfaces.
