Edmund Enright is better known as the musician, Mundy.
He grew up in Birr, County Offaly, with his parents Eddie and Antoinette, and his older brother Niall.
They lived above the family pub… and his parents also operated an auctioneers and the local branch of the EBS.
Mundy’s debut album was Jelly Legs, and it came out in 1996.
He’s best-known perhaps for the cover version of Galway Girl he recorded with Sharon Shannon, which was the best-selling song of 2008 and is the eighth-best selling song of all time in Ireland.
His other big hit, July, was released in 2002, and it remains a summer anthem.
He met his wife Sarah during a skiing trip in Austria, and they have two children: Eden, who’s four and a half, and Belle, who’s three. They live in Portobello in Dublin.
And these are Mundy’s musical heirlooms….
