The PSNI say a murder investigation is underway in Belfast this morning after a 43 year old man was shot dead yesterday.

It's understood the man, who was killed in broad daylight, was previously told threats had been made against his life.

Tommy Crossan was attacked just off the Springfield Road.

Jennifer McCann, a Sinn Fein MLA for the area, describes the killing as 'reckless'.
