A murder investigation has been launched after a man's body was found in a slurry pit in Co. Tipperary.

The grim discovery was made at Fawnagowan yesterday and the results of a post-mortem have just been made available to Gardai.

Detectives are refusing to reveal how the man died for operational reasons and they won't reveal his identity until further tests are carried out.

An incident room has been set up at Tipperary Garda Station and anyone with information is asked to come forward.
