A court has heard a man on trial for the murder of a homeless man with cerebral palsy was boasting and laughing about killing him.
20-year-old Philip Dunbar of Glenshane Drive in Tallaght, Dublin denies murdering Adam Muldoon by stabbing him 183 times.
A witness, who can’t be named for legal reasons, said in June 2018 he was at home smoking weed when the accused Philip Dunbar called to his house and said he had put Adam Muldoon ‘out of his misery’ and had slaughtered him.
He said he had lured the 23-year-old into a field and stabbed him, saying he had begged for his life but the accused kept going.
The witness told the jury the accused had pictured Adam as someone else, whom he had been arguing with.
He said Philip Dunbar was laughing and said ‘I know what it feels to be a killer now’ and he wanted to go back and burn the body.
He said the accused later sent him a Snapchat video of forensics at the scene of the stabbing in Tallaght, and said ‘ha ha look what I'm after doing – I told you I did it’ .
He told the jury he saw the accused throw a knife into water, and later told him he was scumbag for what he did.
The Defence put it to him that he was not a reliable witness - he replied it was a nightmare and he just wanted to get justice for Adam.
