The three-judge court, presided over by Chief Justice Susan Denham, has upheld the High Court decision to refuse bail on November 4th.

Elaine O'Hara's body was found over a year after she went missing

The father of two will now remain in custody until his next District Court appearance in the New Year.

He is due to be served with the book of evidence which may spark a fresh bail application.

He is accused of murdering Elaine O'Hara, the childcare worker from Killiney in Co. Dublin. Her remains were found in the Dublin Mountains last September more than a year after her disappearance.
