A section of the N84 road has been closed in Mayo following a crash this morning.

It happened shortly after 7am on the Castlebar Road in Ballinrobe where diversions are now in place.

The road is expected to remain closed for a number of hours as Gardaí and emergency services attend the scene.

Gardaí said no further information is available at this time.
