The Naval Service vessel the LÉ James Joyce stopped the Irish-registered fishing vessel on Tuesday.
It was held approximately 50 nautical miles west of Inishbofin.

The vessel has been escorted by the LÉ James Joyce to Castletownbere, Co Cork, where it was handed over to An Garda Síochána.
This is the fifth vessel detained by the Naval Service so far this year.
