New figures show 381 people are waiting for admission to a hospital bed around the country.
The numbers from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO) show 290 people are on trolleys, while another 91 are waiting on wards.
University Hospital Limerick has the highest number, with 43 people waiting for a bed.
This is followed by Cork University Hospital at 38, University Hospital Galway and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda - both on 27.
Others high on the list include Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar at 22 and Dublin's Mater Misericordiae University Hospital at 21.

This is an increase on figures released just yesterday, which showed that 277 people were waiting on trolleys and wards.
Last Friday the figure was at 318, while earlier in the week it stood at 369.
It comes as Fianna Fáil say the Winter Initiative, announced last Friday, will not make a meaningful difference to the numbers.
Health spokesperson Billy Kelleher said: "An additional 55 acute hospital beds for the entire country just isn't enough to make a meaningful dent in trolley numbers.
"While any additional funding to the health system is to be welcomed, €40 million represents just 0.03% of the entire health budget. It's clearly not enough."
"What's clear from the last number of weeks is that overcrowding is no longer solely a winter issue. It's a 365 day a year crisis, and Minister (Simon) Harris needs to quickly formulate a new strategy, and secure funding to implement it."
