The birthplace of Scotland’s infamous deep-fried Mars is in trouble with lawyers working for the chocolate company.
The unlikely delicacy, celebrating it’s 20th anniversary, was created after a schoolboy asked the Carron Fish Bar in Stonehaven to cook up the treat.
Lorraine Watson, who runs the fish and chip shop, has now received a letter requesting that the chip shop carry a disclaimer on its menus, pointing out that the use of Mars bars for deep fat frying is “not authorised or endorsed by Mars Incorporated”.
