Lego’s new line of toys created specifically for girls has helped profits soar – despite protests over gender stereotyping.
The company says it sold twice as many ‘Lego Friends’ sets as expected over the first 6 months of the year – pushing profits up 35 per cent.
The line includes a dream house, a splash pool and a beauty shop – which the company says followed requests from parents and girls for more “realistic” toys.
