The Central Statistics Office has launched a new tool on its website, that allows you to view Census 2011 statistics for your area.

The Small Area Population Statistics, or SAPS, can be viewed through an interactive map search, similar to Google maps’.

Census information for each area is presented in table format, which can be downloaded in pdf or excel format.

Downloadable information includes stats on social class and socio-economic group; ethnicity and religion; Irish; commuting; disabilities; occupations and computer use.
