Streaming service Netflix has introduced new parental controls on its platform.
The company says these are based on feedback from users.
Parents can now PIN protect individual profiles, to prevent children from using them.
They can also tailor their children's Netflix by filtering out titles that are not appropriate for their age.
There are now filters using country ratings, so they are more intuitive.
Individual series or films can also be removed by their title.
When this filter is used, the blocked shows or films will not show up anywhere in that profile.
Parents can review each profile’s setting using the 'Profile and Parental Controls' hub in account settings.
They can also see what their children have been watching, and turn off auto play of episodes in those profiles.
All users can add these new controls to their profile by going to account settings on a mobile or laptop.
Netflix says: "Choice and control have always been important for our members, especially parents.
"We hope that these additional controls will help parents make the right choices for their families".
