A new aircraft’s being tested in California later, which could travel between London and New York in around an hour.

The unmanned X-51 WaveRider is designed to fly at six times the speed of sound, or about 3,600 miles-per-hour.

A test last year ended in disaster when the aircraft plunged into the ocean.
