The book is titled 'Goodnight Malaysia 370: The Truth Behind the Loss of Flight 370'.

This is based on the last known words spoken by the pilot, which were “Goodnight, Malaysian 370.”

The book theorises that pilot 53-year-old-pilot, Zaharie Ahmad Shah, depressurised the cabin killing the passengers and crew before flying the plane into the Indian Ocean.

The plane, crew and passengers disappeared without trace almost six months ago.

Journalist Geoff Taylor and air accident investigator Ewan Wilson wrote the book which investigates various different theories of what might have happened to the plane on its final journey.

They duo reach certain conclusions and rule out certain scenarios before laying the blame on pilot Zaharie Ahmad Shah.

They claim there are two possible explanations as to what Mr Shah did after depressurising the aircraft.

He could have allowed his own air to run out before falling unconscious and cashing into the ocean or he could have maintained his own oxygen and as the plane's fuel reserves ran out, glided into a controlled landing that allowed the plane to sink intact to the ocean floor.

The second scenario, they said, would explain the lack of debris found during the follow-up search.

The authors researched the book using official reports and conducting their own interviews, including interviewing relatives of the missing crew members.
