A campaign encouraging Irish employers to sign up and take on new staff has seen 2,000 people employed in under 6 months.

‘Hireland’ says about 5,000 jobs have been pledged in that period.

Most companies who get involved are promising to take on between 1 and 5 people.

Dublin has the highest number of pledged jobs followed by Cork and Galway.
