A range of new coronavirus restrictions will be in place across the country until September 13th.
Cabinet agreed to the measures amid recent spikes in new cases of COVID-19.
Here are the measures announced this evening:

- Visits to homes should now be limited to six people from no more than three households
- Outdoor gatherings will be limited to 15 people
- People should work from home wherever possible, with businesses urged to continue supporting remote working
- There will be a mandatory closing time of 11:30pm for restaurants, cafés and pubs which operate as restaurants
- People are being asked to avoid public transport wherever possible
- Anyone travelling on public transport should still wear a mask, with face coverings also now recommended when travelling in a car with anyone from a different household
- All sporting events and matches should be played behind closed doors
- People aged over 70 and medically vulnerable individuals are being encouraged to limit their social contact to a small group of people, and are also being advised to shop during designated times in supermarkets
- Gyms can remain open, but Acting Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn said there should be no more than six people attending an exercise class
- Weddings can continue as per the current guidelines until any further decision is made - the Government has said it will 're-engage' with NPHET on the issue before finalising any new guidelines
- Summer camps can continue, but organisers are being asked to keep groups to 15 people
- Mass and religious services will be able to continue under current guidelines
- Monitoring and inspection of premises will be "intensified"
- A new 'recovery' roadmap will be published before September 13th
Taoiseach Micheál Martin also confirmed that officials are considering legislation which would give gardaí additional powers to enforce the rules.
