A new Board of Governors and CEO have been appointed at the Central Remedial Clinic. The previous board resigned late last year after the organisation was embroiled in a pay and fundraising controversy.

Stephanie Manahan - a qualified occupational therapist - will lead the organisation. The new board, meanwhile, will serve on a voluntary basis and receive no pay. The board members have been appointed by an independent organisation.

Kieran Timmins will chair the new board and says he wants to ensure the organisation is transparent and accountable.

"What I'm focused on today is getting the CRC structure back in place and getting good governance back in place" he said.

He added that he also wanted to ensure "transparency and accountability to our staff, to our clients and to our supporters".
