Recent figures have revealed details about the COVID-19 hotspots around the country.
The Lifford-Stranorlar area of Co Donegal had a 14-day incidence rate of 602.6 cases per 100,000 population earlier this week, data shows.
That compared to an overall national rate of 116.4, and is almost twice the incidence rate of any other part of the country.
The data shows the local electoral areas with the highest rate of the virus.
Lifford-Stranorlar is followed by Granard in County Longford, which has a rate of 384.1.
Other areas which have a rate higher than 300 include the Monaghan electoral area; Kimmage-Rathmines, which has the highest level in Dublin; and Carndonagh in Donegal, which two weeks ago had a rate of less than five.
The highest area in Cork is the South Central area of the city (240.5), while in Clare Kilrush has a rate of more than 290.
Other areas that are reporting high rates include Boyle in Roscommon, Carrickmacross-Castleblaney in Monaghan and Galway City Central.
The figures also revealed some of the least impacted areas.
Parts of Carlow (Tullow), Cork (Bantry-west and Kanturk), Kerry (Casteisland and Corca Dhuibhne), Kilkenny (Piltown), Leitrim (Ballinamore and Manorhamilton), Mayo (Castlebar and Westport), Meath (Laytown Bettystown) and Waterford (Lismore and Portlaw-Kimacthomas) all have rates of less than five cases per 100,000.
