Almost five years after his death, the latest posthumous collection of 'new' Michael Jackson music is due for release on 13th May 2014. It follows on from 2010's Michael collection, as well as the likes of compliation album This Is It which also featured unreleased songs.
The latest batch of songs have been produced by the well-known likes of Timbaland and Rodney Jerkins. According to the press release announcing the album, the tracks have been subject to a process of "contemporizing".
Executive producer L.A. Reid has been talking about the new album, remarking “Michael left behind some musical performances that we take great pride in presenting through the vision of music producers that he either worked directly with or expressed strong desire to work with. We are extremely proud and honored to present this music to the world.”
