The Barrack Obama Plaza is open for business in the Midlands from midday today.

The long awaited motorway service station and food court is located at junction 23 "Moneygall" on the M7.

The Plaza has a visitor centre commemorating the visit of the U.S President and his wife, First Lady Michelle Obama to his ancestral birthplace of Moneygall.

It's also the largest employer in the area, with 70 jobs created through this €7m investment.

The Plaza will be managed by President Obama's Irish cousin, Henry Healy.
