RTÉ's new chairwoman says she will consider releasing salary details for broadcasters more often.
Moya Doherty has told TDs she will discuss a new policy with the other members of the RTÉ board.
But she says RTÉ only accounts for five of the top ten broadcasters' salaries in Ireland.
She says the wages for RTÉ's latest recruit are lower than the sponsorship his programme will earn:
Currently the broadcaster only releases its presenters' salary details two years after they are paid.
