A new static speed camera in Limerick will become operational on Friday, Gardai have announced.
The camera will be located on the N69 at Ballyhomin near Askeaton.
Gardaí said drivers caught over the 100 kilometre per hour limit will be subject to prosecution from midday.

A speeding related fixed charge notice carries a €160 fine and 3 penalty points.
New speed cameras in Meath became operational earlier this month as well.
