A new alternative to black and white pudding is coming to Irish supermarkets.
The Clonakilty Food Co is launching a vegetable pudding.
The company says it contains the texture and aroma associated with its other puddings, but in a vegetable only alternative.
It is made with oats, onions, black beans, carrots and a distinctive spice mix.
The product is free from artificial additives and preservatives, gluten-free and suitable for vegans.
Colette Twomey is managing director and co-founder of Clonakilty.
She says: "Over the years we have continued to evolve our product offering to build on the success of our original black pudding which was first made almost 150 years ago in Clonakilty West Cork.
"We are excited that our range continues to offer something to suit the tastes of all the family.
"We are confident thatour new Veggie Pudding matches the quality and taste that Clonakilty's most loyal customers know and love."
The new pudding is best pan-fried in a small amount of oil for approximately three minutes either side.
It is on sale nationwide in select stores of Tesco Ireland, Dunnes Stores, SuperValu, Spar and Costcutter.
