Newstalk has received 28 nominations at this year’s IMRO radio awards.
The annual awards mark the very best in Irish radio broadcasting and recognise the personalities that have made Irish radio great.
Newstalk presenters Pat Kenny and Ciara Kelly have both been nominated in the national broadcaster of the year award.
Meanwhile Off the Ball’s Eoin Sheahan, Joe Molloy and Nathan Murphy are all nominated for the national sports broadcaster of the year.
Newstalk Breakfast, On the Record, The Hard Shoulder and The Pat Kenny Show have all been nominated for the national current affairs programme of the year.

Off the Ball is up for national sports programme of the year, while The Tom Dunne Show is nominated for best special music programme and both Alive and Kicking with Claire McKenna and Moncrieff are nominated for best magazine programme.
Splanc is nominate for Craoltoireacht le Geailge.
Newstalk reporter Sarah Madden is nominated for The Gay Byrne Award -Newcomer of the Year.
The station also boasts two nominations in the best news story/news event category – with reporter Paul O’Donoghue nominated for his series of reports entitled, ‘Abandoned - Ireland's Eating Disorder Sufferers’ and reporter Frank Greaney nominated for ‘Section 252 - An Unspeakable Pain.’

Off the Ball has two nominations in the sports story category for ‘Giles at 80 – A Celebration’ and The Gordon Elliott Scandal.
The Hard Shoulder is also among the nominees for radio moment of the year for Kieran Cuddihy’s interview with cervical cancer campaigner Lynsey Bennett.
Show me the Science with Luke O’Neill has been nominated for podcast of the year and the station also boasts a host of nominations in the documentary, drama and short feature categories.
