An American football star has shot himself dead at his club's stadium.

The unnamed 25-year-old Kansas City Chiefs player died this morning.

Police say he's also linked to another shooting nearby.

Reports suggest that the player shot his girlfriend, a few miles away, before returning to the Arrowhead Stadium where he turned the gun on himself.
