A series of protests against Brexit are taking place along the border later today.

Organiser Border Communities Against Brexit say they are angry at the continued uncertainty over the UK's exit from the EU.

The demonstrations will take place at six locations in counties Louth, Fermanagh, Cavan, Monaghan, Tyrone and Donegal.

Sinn Féin has accused the DUP of chasing 'fantasy solutions' when it comes to Brexit.

The party's Brexit spokesperson, David Cullinane, said the EU's stance is clear and there will be no renegotiating of the withdrawal agreement.

It comes after the agreement was defeated for the third time in the House of Commons yesterday, with the DUP voting against it due to their continued opposition to the Irish backstop.

A man remains in Garda custody this morning after being arrested following the discovery of a cannabis grow house in Co Louth.

A raid on the property on the outskirts of Dundalk yesterday uncovered what gardaí described as a 'sophisticated' operation.

130 cannabis plants and herb valued at €150,000 were seized.

Motorists are being advised to expect delays on the M7 this weekend due to roadworks between junction 9 Naas North and junction 10 Naas South.

Diversions are in place to allow for the demolition of an overbridge at the new Osberstown interchange.

Drivers will be diverted on to slip roads, with a diversion route of less than a kilometre.

People in more than 180 countries will switch off their lights between 8:30pm and 9:30pm.
