Irish pop singer Niall Horan didn’t waste any time congratulating his fellow Mullingar native John Joe Nevin on his Olympic success.

The One Direstion singer is reported to have partied with the Co. Westmeath boxer at the Irish House in London after he took Silver in his bout.

Horan tweeted his joy at meeting Nevin at the spot where Irish fans have been congregating during the games, calling him a “champ”.
