Nick Cave has paid tribute to his teenage son who has died after falling from cliffs in the south of England.

The incident happened in Brighton, England yesterday evening.

Arthur Cave was 15.

In a short statement, the Australian musician and his wife Susie described their son as a "beautiful, happy, loving boy".

They also requested the family is given privacy to grieve.

Sussex Police said, "Arthur was found with life threatening injuries on the underpass of Ovingdean Gap at 6pm on Tuesday (14 July). He died later that evening of his injuries in hospital."

The death is not being treated as suspicious.
