In the UK, a new study shows regular nightmares for children could be an early sign of psychotic disorders.

The research suggests that while most youngsters have bad dreams - persistent ones may develop into something far more serious.

The UK researchers say that at 12 years old, nightmares more than tripled the occurrence of hallucinations and delusions.
