Gardaí have launched an investigation following the discovery of nine men in a shipping container in Rosslare Europort.

The men were found at approximately 10.30am this morning and were assessed by medical personnel.

Eight of the men were in good health while one was taken to a hospital in the south east for assessment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Gardaí and the Garda National Immigration Bureau are currently investigating all the circumstances surrounding the case.
