Music legend Kate Bush has asked fans to refrain from taking photos during her upcoming live shows at London's Apollo.
The singer, famous for songs like 'Wuthering Heights', 'Running Up That Hill' and 'Babooshka', explained that her decision was based on increasing intimacy between performer and audience in her first live shows since 1979.
In a message on her official website, she said:
"I have a request for all of you who are coming to the shows :We have purposefully chosen an intimate theatre setting rather than a large venue or stadium. It would mean a great deal to me if you would please refrain from taking photos or filming during the shows. I very much want to have contact with you as an audience, not with iphones, ipads or cameras. I know it's a lot to ask but it would allow us to all share in the experience together."
The only tour of Bush's long and successful career took place in 1979. Tickets for this year's 22-night residency at the Apollo - which starts on August 26th and runs until October - sold out within 15 minutes when they went on sale.
