Irish diplomats have made contact with the members of the Halawa family who are in detention in Cairo.
Three sisters in their 20s and their 17-year-old brother have been in custody in Cairo since Saturday.
Omaima Halawa (20), her two sisters Fatima, (22), Somaia, (27), and their younger brother Ibrihim (17), were among hundreds of people cleared out of the al Fath mosque when security forces stormed the building.
Meanwhile several dozen protestors earlier gathered outside the Department of Foreign Affairs in Dublin calling for their release.
This was the second such protest in as many days, after a similar gathering yesterday outside the Egyptian embassy in the capital.
The siblings are thought to have been held at an Egyptian jail. The four are children of Hussein Halawa - the Imam at Ireland's largest mosque in Dublin.
Another sister - Nasaybi Halawa - says her family are relieved that contact has been made.

Meanwhile the Supreme leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt has been arrested on charges of inciting the murder of protesters.
The detention of Mohamed Badie comes as authorities continue a crackdown on the party of ousted president Mohamed Morsi.
The action has sparked deadly protests across the country during which almost 900 people have died.
