A 23-year-old man from Northern Ireland has been arrested in England in connection with the discovery of 39 bodies in a lorry in Essex last month.
The bodies of the Vietnamese nationals were found in a refrigerated container in Grays, Essex on October 23rd.
They were found after the lorry arrived in the UK from Belgium.
Police in the UK say they arrested a 23-year-old man in early hours of this morning on the M40 in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire in connection with the investigation.
He's being held on suspicion of conspiracy to traffic people and conspiracy to assist unlawful immigration.
Several other people have previously been arrested in connection with the investigation.
25-year-old lorry driver Maurice Robinson, of Craigavon in County Armagh, has been charged with 39 counts of manslaughter, conspiracy to traffic people, conspiracy to assist unlawful immigration, and money laundering.
Meanwhile, a High Court judge yesterday said he is going to ask UK authorities for more information in relation to their pursuit of a man in connection with the investigation.
22-year-old Eamon Harrison from Mayobridge in Co Down is wanted in the UK on 39 charges of manslaughter, a charge of human trafficking and one charge of conspiring to assist unlawful immigration.
