Police in Northern Ireland say they have received a complaint over controversial comments made by the health minister there.
DUP politician Jim Wells was filmed at an election hustings event in South Down last night, claiming a child was at higher risk of being abused or neglected if they were brought up 'in a homosexual relationship'.
A video of the comments has been widely shared online.
He later apologised, saying he has been under stress as his wife is in hospital, and that it is not his real view.
He has since clarified his remarks, saying he meant children of unstable relationships are more likely to be abused.
John O'Doherty from the Rainbow Project says he is not surprised by the comments.
