A 103-year-old Dublin woman who recovered from the coronavirus says she owes her good health to walking.
Josephine Silo has been given the all-clear after beating the virus.
She told Newstalk Breakfast: "Oh God now I'm grand".
She says she did not feel she was badly hit by the virus around three weeks ago.
"I wasn't the same, but I had my company and I had the girls looking after me and keeping me going.
"So thank God I got over it".
She did not have to go to hospital, and is now on the mend.
She says she has been feeling better "about a week only - but I'm not quite over it yet, you know".
She says she has always had good health.
"I was a good few times in the continent - in Italy and Spain and Germany and France."
She puts her health down to walking as she was a "waitress all of my life".
She also praised staff at the Sacred Heart Residence in Raheny, where she is living.
"Very good and kind and understanding - you'd be surprised how well they are", she said.
Josephine turns 104 on July 22nd.
