Oasis have officially announced their comeback with two dates at Croke Park next year.
The band sparked huge excitement over the weekend when they posted a cryptic tweet showing today’s date in the iconic Oasis lettering.
The date then flickered to say ‘8am’.
Tens of thousands of fans headed to the band member’s social media accounts this morning to see the announcement in real-time and they were rewarded with the announcement of gigs in five cities - including Dublin.
“This is it, this is happening”

Tickets will go on sale this Saturday at 8am in Ireland and 9am in the UK.
A message on the band’s website is warning fans to ensure they are registered with one of the official ticket sales sites before they go on sale:
"We strongly advise that those wishing to purchase tickets register in advance of the sale with the relevant ticket agencies."
In a quote on the website, the band said:
"The guns have fallen silent.
The stars have aligned.
The great wait is over.
Come see.
It will not be televised."
The announcement comes just ahead of the 30th anniversary of Oasis's seminal debut album Definitely Maybe, which was released on August 29th 1994.
It is also nearly 15 years since their last gig in 2009, which ended in their infamous backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine Festival in Paris.
Both Noel and Liam Gallagher shared the news on their social media sites, saying: "This is it, this is happening."
In addition to their return to Dublin in August, the band will play four nights at London’s Webley Stadium.
They have also announced four shows in Manchester, two in Cardiff and two in Edinburgh.
There are plans for Oasis to "go to other continents outside of Europe" later in 2025, it has also been confirmed.
It is understood, however, that there are no plans for the band to headline next year’s Glastonbury festival.
