US President Barack Obama has warned Syria of “enormous consequences” if it resorts to chemical weapons.
The comments came on the day that a female Japanese reporter was killed while covering clashes in the northern city of Aleppo.
Obama said while he had not ordered intervention “at this point” Washington was “monitoring the situation very carefully” and could still intervene in the civil war there.

The US President says if Syria looks like it might use its chemical weapons it would be considered an act of aggression.
