The US President Barack Obama is to travel to Colorado later today to honour the victims of the cinema shootings.

12 people were killed and 58 others were injured in the attack – 11 of those are still critical.

Bomb squad officers in Denver have carried out controlled explosions at the apartment of James Holmes.

Police say they’ve moved the 24-year-old suspect into solitary confinement for his own protection.
