An off-duty garda, his brother and another man, have appeared in court charged with a violent street brawl in inner-city Limerick.
All three are charged with having used or threatened to use unlawful violence towards each other and creating fear in others in their vicinity.
Limerick District Court heard the incident occurred on O'Connell Street in Limerick City on July 7th last year.
The accused are Adrian Joyce (31) from Claremorris in Co. Mayo - but who is based in Pearse Street garda station in Dublin - Nicholas Joyce (40) with an address in Warrington, Lancashire and David McCarthy (27) of Merval Drive, Clareview in Limerick.
The three accused were remanded on bail of €500 of their own bond to appear before Limerick District Court on April 2nd.
