When we think of the modern office space, it’s usually a dull space full of right angles and fluorescent lighting, with the only splash of colour coming from the splashes of coffee on the kitchenette counters. The same cannot be said for designer Ben Brucker, who decided to spruce up his workplace with 8,000 post-it notes and some pixelated superhero iconography.

“One day I just got so tired of how sterile and boring our office felt, I thought I should do something about it,” Brucker wrote on Imgur. “We realized that painting would take a long time, and would be difficult to remove, so we landed on post-its as a semi-cheap and fully temporary solution.”

Assembling his co-workers one weekend, the team created the brilliantly cheap and colourful wall-to-ceiling murals shown in the gallery below. Sticking the square pieces of note paper on their walls, they managed to bring to life Wonder Woman, Superman, Captain America, Scarlet Witch, Iron Man, Spider-Man and Batman.
