Former IRA volunteer and Old Bailey bomber Dolours Price has been found dead in North Dublin.

The 62-year-old mother-of-two was found at her home in Malahide last night.

The former wife of actor Stephen Rea was a convicted IRA car bomber for the 1973 attack in London.

One man died and 200 people were injured in the incident.

In the 1970s she served 7 years of a 20-year sentence for her part in the car bombing.

Throughout he life she remained politically active and in recent years she has been a vocal critic of the Sinn Fein leadership.

Gardai say they are not treating her death as suspicious.
