Tributes are being paid to businessman Joseph Brennan, founder of Brennans Bread, who has died aged 82.
Mr Brennan, who was predeceased by his wife Jean, died on Sunday at home surrounded by his family.
"Much loved father of David, Declan, Colm, Suzanne, Deborah, Michelle and Joseph," his death notice reads.
"Sadly missed by his grandchildren, his great grandchild, daughter in laws, brothers, sister, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends".
His funeral mass took place in the Foxrock area of Dublin on Thursday.
Affectionately known as 'Old Mr Brennan' due to adverts for his bread, he founded the company in 1972.
Mr Brennan baked the first loaves of Brennans Bread in a one room bakery in Dublin's Fumbally Lane.
The company has since moved to Walkinstown and is now one of the largest bakeries in Ireland.
The operations are still very much family-run with the Brennan family overseeing the recipes and baking skills.
The company, which uses with the slogan 'Today's Bread Today' has presistantly been one of Ireland's biggest selling grocery brands.
