A young man in his early twenties has died in a two car road collision overnight.
Two others are in a serious condition in hospital after the incident, near Stradone in Co. Cavan.
The man, who was the driver of one of the cars was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other men, the driver of the second car in his twenties and a teenage passenger, were taken by ambulance to Cavan General Hospital where their condition is described as serious.
The incident is under investigation and the road at the scene is closed this morning.
