One of Ireland’s Olympic hopefuls is Annalise Murphy is taking her field by storm.
She is a 23-year-old UCD student who is competing in her first Olympic Games.
She sails a boat called the Laser Radial which is the Women’s Single Handed Olympic Class.
Murphy proved unstoppable yesterday as she scored 2 more race wins.
Double back-to-back wins are extremely rare at this level and some believe her success is down to her height – at over 6 feet she can use this to her advantage.
A rest day is scheduled for tomorrow and then the 4 remaining fleet races are due to take place on Friday and Saturday.
