New statistics released to coincide with World AIDS day ( Sunday 1st December) show that one person tests HIV positive every 24 hours in Ireland.
That's according to the Dublin AIDS Alliance who say that numbers should be lower because it is a preventable illness.
The amount of people being diagnosed with HIV in Ireland is up by seven per cent this year.
