Gardai in Ashbourne in Co Meath are renewing their appeal for information about a couple who have been missing a year.

Willie Maughan - from Tallaght - and Anna Varslavane - from Latvia were reported missing from Gormanstown a year ago tomorrow.

Both had been living in the Gormanstown area and had planned to leave there to live in Tallaght.

Willie is described as 5' 8", of athletic build, with shaved head and green eyes while Anna is 5'6" in height, of slim build, with long dark hair.

Gardai say they are extremely concerned for their welfare and safety and again ask anyone with information to contact the incident room at Ashbourne Garda Station or any Garda Station.
