Tomorrow is the deadline for filing your property tax return online. Property owners are being reminded that they have a number of options as to how they wish to pay but that they need to inform the Revenue Commissioners by tomorrow which method they wish to use.

Revenue have advised that phone lines will be busy today and tomorrow but that people can leave a message and request a call back.

Meanwhile some 5,000 calls per day are being made to the special Revenue Commissioner phoneline dealing with property tax queries.

The latest figures show some 500,000 people have already sent returns for the tax next year, which has raised €215 million so far this year.

However the figures do not say how many people have already paid the 2014 tax.

Vivienne Dempsey is the local property tax project manager for the Revenue Commissioners. She says there are two options available to property owners.
