The first opinion poll since the general election has indicated there would be no significant gains for either Fine Gael or Fianna Fáil in the event of a second election.
The poll of more than 1,000 voters by Red C for the Sunday Business Post has indicated a 1% increase for the two parties on their election performances - up to 27% for Fine Gael and 25% for Fianna Fáil.
The poll also shows a small boost for Sinn Féin - from 14% support to 15% - with the Independent Alliance also up a point to 5%.
The only group that sees a potentially significant gain in the poll are the Social Democrats - the poll showing a two point jump in support to 5%.
However, the poll indicates further potential losses for Labour, putting them on 4% support compared to their 7% level in the election. It puts them on the same level as the Anti Austerity Alliance / People Before Profit, who see new change since the election.
The poll also shows a four point drop in support for Independent candidates to 9%.
The Greens would remain on 3%, with Renua - who won no seats in the general election - on 2%.
The poll comes amid continued discussions on Government formation.
The new Dáil, which met for the first time on Thursday, failed to elect a new Taoiseach.
It has been adjourned until the 22nd of March, when there will be an update on talks to form a Government and statements on a number of issues.
